Bach's St John Passion is one of the masterpieces of Baroque choral writing, containing some of his most eloquent and moving music.  Our concert features a professional orchestra and soloists for a memorable evening, and it promises to be a highlight of the Stondon Singers' 50th anniversary year. 

Our soloists are:

Ben Alden, Evangelist
Themba Mvula - The Christus
Bibi Heal - Soprano
Tim Travers-Brown - Alto
Simon Berridge - Tenor
James Arthur - Bass,

and we are accompanied by the  John Jenkins Consort, playing period instruments. 

Our soloists, collectively, regularly sing with The Sixteen, Opera North, the Tallis Scholars, and the Academy of Ancient Music, among other internationally renowned ensembels.
